In my 20s, chaos consumed me. After a bout of foolishness, I clung desperately to life, feeling as though I was plummeting into an abyss of love and warmth. The near-death experience rewired my brain, reconnecting it with my spirit, like a long-lost socket finally found. I faded into the bright light of my inner being.
